NEI General Contracting breaks ground on new 25,000 s/f Winter Garden, Florida office

Winter Garden, FL NEI General Contracting, an affordable housing general contractor, broke ground on a two-story, 25,000 s/f office building and warehouse located at 751 Garden Commerce Pkwy. Construction is expected to be completed in April 2023 and the office will support the Southeast operations including Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana among other states. NEI also has an office in Houston that supports the company’s work in Texas and the Southwest, and an office in Boston that supports the Northeast.

NEI has been working in Florida since 2013 and currently has an office in Ocoee with over 40 employees. Led by vice president of southeast operations, Rich Ionelli, NEI has handled projects such as Ashley Sq. in Jacksonville, Council Towers in Miami Beach, Scott Lake Health & Rehab in Lakeland, and Trinity Towers in Melbourne. Offering general contracting and construction management services, NEI specializes in new construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing, senior living, skilled nursing, and historic preservation.

“We are excited to have a custom-designed building with first-class amenities to house our Southeast Operations,” said Ionelli. “We have seen continuous growth since arriving almost ten years ago and this new office space will help us accommodate our growing team and better serve the communities, we are working in. We are focused on developing quality affordable housing as it continues to be a critical and growing need in the area. We look forward to being a part of the community and creating better housing options for those that need it the most.”

NEI’s new facility will include employee amenities such as a fitness center with showers, outdoor porch, laundry, private lactation room, café with kitchen. Featuring a two-story atrium lobby, the office layout includes private offices, workstations, and conference rooms.
