Munroe opens new office of Capital Mgmt. Group in Simsbury, Conn.

Individuals and business owners now have a new resource for their financial planning needs. Local resident and attorney Daniel Munroe, JD, CLU, recently opened the Farmington Valley office of Capital Management Group. The announcement was made by Thomas Mingone, principal of Capital Management Group. "We're extremely pleased to have Dan join our team," said Mingone. "He comes to us as a highly regarded professional who has been continually recognized for his personal commitment to clients and professional leadership. As a partner with our firm, his office adds to our firm's other locations in Manhattan and Pearl River, N.Y. as well as Greenwich, Conn. The Simsbury native is an attorney and former financial services executive, who brings 15 years of legal, tax planning, and financial services experience to the practice. Munroe has extensive experience in identifying and implementing wealth transfer strategies for private clients and corporations. His background includes managing the estate and business planning advanced markets division of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, as well as its individual life insurance product and marketing development group. In addition, he served as Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Upon joining Capital Management Group, Munroe is part of AXA Advisors' Paramount Planning Group, a select group of financial professionals who are distinguished for achieving a high standard of experience, expertise and service in the industry. As a member of the Paramount Planning Group, Munroe has a dedicated service, compliance, and technology support team, which helps facilitate the timely delivery of information and expertise in all areas of business. This enables him to be an even greater resource to clients in helping them achieve their financial objectives. Munroe is a regular contributor to the Hartford Business Journal, the Connecticut CPA Magazine, and appears monthly on the Fox 61 Morning News Money Matters segment as well as local publications. An active community member, he volunteers for the Make- A-Wish Foundation and the Simsbury Little League. He also serves on a number of charitable boards.
