Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International brokers $3.1 million sale of 24 acres

Portsmouth, RI Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty has completed the sale of 0 Paquins Ln., for $3.1 million. The sellers were represented by Holly Prentice and the buyers were represented by The Soby Fox Team, all sales associates of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty.

According to data from the Multiple Listing Service, this marks the highest vacant land sale since 2021 when Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty had the top sale. This is the 2nd highest vacant land sale on record in town.

Located on over 24 acres, this pastoral land has views across the west passage of Narragansett Bay and beyond. Used as a family farm since 1964, the new buyers and Aquidneck Land Trust hope to work together to protect the land in perpetuity and keep it in farming via a conservation easement. The buyers and the land trust hope a deal can be finalized later in the summer.

Aquidneck Land Trust is one of the oldest accredited land trusts in Rhode Island. Since 1990, it has conserved more than 99 properties covering more than 2,815 acres of land on Aquidneck Island, or over 11.5% of the island’s total acreage.

“This piece of Portsmouth is such an idyllic spot,” said Prentice. “I am pleased that it will remain undeveloped to maintain its natural beauty.”

“I am overjoyed to assist my client in the purchase of this beautiful land,” said Bridgette Soby of The Soby Fox Team. “Its beauty will be left for many to enjoy for years to come.”

Agents of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty take a sophisticated and artful approach to marketing to unite extraordinary homes with extraordinary lives. Backed by the power of an exclusive luxury brand, the firm continues to raise the bar.
