Messore of Colonial Properties sells 449 Boston Post Road for $1.45 million

According to Michael Richetelli, president of Colonial Properties Inc., Fred Messore, vice president and development specialist has facilitated the sale of 449 Boston Post Rd. for $1.45 million. Messore was the sole broker in the transaction and represented the seller, Niko Realty, LLC. The buyer, CEE Orange, LLC will be operating a chef's equipment store at the location. The building was most recently occupied by Murphy and McCoy's Furniture Store and previously by La-Z-Boy. 449 Boston Post Rd. is a freestanding retail building approximately 13,660 s/f and sits on .97 acres on a prime stretch of Rte. 1, adjacent to the Bank of America and close to Home Depot. The buyer is in the process of making renovations to the building and plans on opening a CHEF's Equipment Emporium within the next couple of months. The business will be owned and operated by Michele DeMartino. "I'm very excited to join one of the hottest retail areas in Connecticut. We are looking forward to being a part of the Orange business community and servicing the needs of the region for high quality kitchen equipment and accessories," said DeMartino. Upon learning of the latest addition to Orange's Rte. 1 corridor, Orange's first selectman Jam Zeoli said, "I am so truly excited to have Chef's relocating to Orange! This is a fit that currently does not exist in Orange and will offer easy accessibility to both the commercial chef and the homeowners that are looking for commercial quality in a new kitchen or remodel! The DeMartino family has a long standing reputation of quality in the industry which I am certain will be the foothold of a long business relationship with the Town of Orange. I am grateful to Fred Messore for putting this fit together as the agent showed his expertise in knowing both the Town of Orange and Chef's needs." Colonial Properties, Inc. is a full service commercial real estate brokerage firm handling all types of commercial and investment real estate transactions including the sale and leasing of retail, industrial, office and investment properties, as well as brokering land and business sales.
