Critter Hut Aquarium & Pets at Kingstown Plaza owners Bob Champlin and Adam Heroux have renewed their lease for their 2,613 s/f store. Richard McKinnon, director of brokerage services for The Grossman Companies, Inc., represented the tenant and the landlord, Kingstown Plaza Limited Partnership, in negotiations.
It was two years ago when Champlin and Heroux chose to locate their store at Kingstown Plaza to take advantage of the visibility and retail tenant mix. Their first store is on Point Judith Rd. in Narragansett. In addition to selling reptiles, small animals, birds, fish Critter Hut carries a full line of pet food and supplies.
Kingstown Plaza consists of 87,500 s/f and is located at 6647 Post Rd. (Rte. 1A). The plaza is anchored by TJ Maxx, HomeGoods and Dollar Tree. More than 25,000 vehicles travel Post Rd. daily. The plaza is a short distance from I-95.
Among other tenants are Lucky Nails, Pier Pizza and Weight Watchers. Sovereign Bank operates an ATM pad site on the property.
The plaza draws from South and Washington Counties and beyond. Nearby historic sites and beaches attract tourists, adding seasonal customer traffic.
