Matthews of Matthews Commercial Properties brokers $2.2 million sale to Wellpath, Inc.

Gerry Matthews of Matthews Commercial Properties brokered the $2.2 million sale of The Moriarty Building located at 141 East Main St. The property is a 4-story mixed- use office building consisting of 28,711 s/f situated on .33 acre. With the sale went the adjacent parking area for approximately 300 cars on 1.76 acres. The property is located in the downtown area which is predominately surrounded by the UCONN Waterbury branch and the Palace Theater. Matthews had leased 6,200 s/f of the 3rd floor last spring to Wellpath, Inc. Wellpath is a private non-profit regional center that offers comprehensive and mental health services to children, parents and families. Wellpath's need for expansion led them to purchase the building and double their size at the building. The seller, Moriarty Building Associates, was represented by Todd M. Carusillo Real Estate, LLC.
