Mass. Chapter of ABC Excellence in Construction Awards - Methuen Construction

Spincraft - North Billerica, MA Spincraft - North Billerica, MA

North Billerica, MA The Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors congratulates Methuen Construction Company for receiving the Merit and Safety Awards at the 23rd annual Excellence in Construction Awards for their outstanding work on the Spincraft new equipment foundation.

The Merit Award recognizes the overall excellence in project execution, craftsmanship, safety, innovative elements and challenges, and client satisfaction. Methuen Construction Company took home the Merit Award, representing work that stands above the rest, for its work on the Spincraft new equipment foundation. Prior to starting construction, the soil in the work area was found to be contaminated with asbestos. To address the issue, Methuen Construction, in conjunction with the owner and engineer, developed a plan to safely remove 2,000 tons of contaminated material. All work was done within a tight timeframe with no interruption to Spincraft’s normal operations. Zero work injuries or DEP violations over the course of this very complex and difficult project.

The Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors is the largest construction trade association in the Commonwealth, representing some 400 local general contractor, subcontractor, and supplier and associate companies.  These companies employ more than 20,000 workers throughout Massachusetts.
