Mass. Building Congress names Guarracino of JM Electrical as president

Boston, MA The Massachusetts Building Congress (MBC) named Matthew Guarracino, business development manager at JM Electrical Co., as president for the 2018-2019 session at the organization’s annual awards gala at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. 

In his senior role at JM Electrical, Guarracino directs the company’s business development strategy and managing its financial and marketing efforts.

Previously, Guarracino served as the MBC’s president-elect and treasurer while serving on a number of committees. In addition, Guarracino serves on the board of directors for the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).

Guarracino earned a Masters of Business Administration from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Stonehill College.

“Matthew Guarracino is a thoughtful leader who brings his unique expertise to the role of president of the MBC,” said Jan Breed, MBC executive director. 

“His background and knowledge of the Massachusetts building industry and his ability to connect and collaborate with our membership including architects, engineers, and contractors is impressive. We look forward to working with Matthew throughout the coming year.”

Building Congress over the past several years has been a professional highlight, and I appreciate the opportunity to contribute as the organization’s next president,” said Guarracino. “The Massachusetts Building Congress is one of Greater Boston’s top AEC organizations, and I welcome the chance to lead this group of professionals during one of our region’s longest periods of growth and development.”
