A.W. Hastings & Co., New England's exclusive distributor of Marvin Windows and Doors, is presenting the 6th Annual Marvin Architects Challenge. This competition is a yearly chance for architects to show off their favorite project, residential or commercial, and see how they measure up against their peers. Architects are invited to submit their best work that displays architectural creativity and features Marvin Windows and Doors.
The Architects Challenge will end May 2. Architects are encouraged to submit their design projects to Marvin Windows and Doors for consideration, explaining why they consider the project to be a great accomplishment, what inspired them to create their design, and how Marvin products helped them realize their vision.
There are many chances to win. Marvin's panel of judges will select 10 winners, including one overall winner to be named Best in Show who will be featured in a special advertising section in Architectural Digest, as well as two videos created in partnership with Architectural Digest Marketing. The Challenge winners will also be invited to Minneapolis, MN and Warroad, MN for an AIA tour of various homes and buildings of architectural interest and a Marvin factory tour.
All entrants will also be entered into Marvin's 2014 Showdown where one winner will be selected by popular vote. The Showdown winner will be invited to attend the 2014 Reinvention Symposium in Washington DC. All winners will be showcased on Marvin.com and throughout social channels.
The project submitted must be of the architect's original design, built within the last ten years, clearly photographed, and include a general description and location of the structure, the year of construction, and the types of Marvin products used.
Hastings program manager Sandra Stoughton said that the Marvin Architects Challenge is a great opportunity for architects to gain recognition for their work. "The Architects Challenge grows each year, attracting submissions from the best and brightest from our industry," she said. "We look forward to having a great representation from the many talented architects in our territory in 2014!"
