MAB Community Services receives $13m financing from Rockland Trust

Westwood, MA Rockland Trust has provided over $13 million in financing to MAB Community Services (MAB) to purchase sixteen group homes, which have been leased to house individuals MAB has served for as long as 18 years. MAB has a long-standing commitment of transforming the lives of those with disabilities. This transaction will enable MAB to control the costs associated with the vital services they deliver to their 80 residents.

Below is an outline of properties that are included for this acquisition:

• Blanchard Rd., Belmont;

• Brighton St., Belmont;

• Dummer St., Brookline;

• Woodcliff Rd., Brookline;

• Carol Dr., Dedham;

• Cass Ave., Dedham;

• Joan Rd., Hyde Park;

• Summer St., Hyde Park;

• Thatcher St., Hyde Park;

• West Milton St., Hyde Park;

• Mary Ellen Rd., Newton;

• Wetherell St., Newton;

• Durnell Ave., Roslindale;

• Northdale Rd., West Roxbury;

• Church St., West Roxbury; and

• Meadowbrook Rd., Westwood.

“By financing the purchase of these houses, Rockland Trust is allowing MAB to stabilize the housing of more than 80 individuals with intellectual disabilities and brain injuries. This is about allowing vulnerable people to remain in their homes; it’s more than a real estate transaction,” said Barbara Salisbury, CEO at MAB.
