LAN–TEL completes HubSpot office renovation at 2 Canal Park

2 Canal Park - Cambridge, MA

Cambridge, MA Lan-Tel Communications, Inc., has completed the comprehensive low-voltage network infrastructure renovations at HubSpot’s expanded headquarters’ offices at 2 Canal Park. The NECA Boston Chapter contractor’s scope also entailed elaborate audio visual (AV) and security installations.

The tel/data scope comprised updating third floor 45,000 s/f of office space with 700 Cat 6 and fiber optic cables, which support the company’s fiber backbone. AV installations included a sound masking system, flat screen monitors in meeting and conference rooms, and video walls. The security system scope included installation of video camera surveillance and card reader access control. 

LAN-TEL supervised its crew of IBEW Local 103 technicians in the four-month project, which commenced in August and was substantially completed in early December. HubSpot will take occupancy this month.

LAN-TEL worked on a project team headed by general contractor, Wise Construction of Winchester, Mass.
