Scott Knightly of EnviroVantage was recently appointed as the 2nd vice chair of the Associated Builders and Contractors N.H./Vt. chapter. Knightly, a graduate of The University of N.H.'s Whittemore School of Business and Economics, is a pioneer in the abatement industry. His introduction into the business was through his love of restoring old homes and historic buildings in N.H.   While pursuing this interest, Knightly constantly encountered lead paint at a time when there were no federal or state guidelines for its safe removal.  Recognizing an opportunity, Knightly became New Hampshire's first licensed lead abatement contractor. His company also specializes in demolition and the eradication of hazardous contaminants found in buildings including asbestos, mold, PCBs, and mercury. Knightly's processes and practices that he developed as New Hampshire's first Private Lead Contractor were adopted as state regulations in N.H., Maine and Mass., EnviroVantage is regional leader in environmental cleanup and the removal of hazardous materials including lead paint, asbestos, and mold for building projects requiring renovation, demolition, or historic reconstruction. EnviroVantage created the standard procedures for lead paint removal and staffs experts on every major contaminant found in buildings.
