JM Coull to build 5,000 s/f urgent care facility at Emerson Hospital

Emerson Urgent Care at Hudson, Mass.

Hudson, MA JM Coull (JMC) was selected by Emerson Hospital to build the organization’s first urgent care facility.  Emerson Urgent Care at Hudson, located in the Highland Commons shopping area on the Hudson/Berlin line, is under construction. JMC is working with Levi + Wong Architects on the project.

JMC has constructed a range of healthcare facilities over the years for its clients, including urgent care centers, but this marks the firm’s first project for Emerson Hospital. The 5,000 s/f space includes multiple exam rooms, as well as a radiology area, lab, and treatment room, and its design will offer patients a comfortable, safe, and time-efficient alternative for their urgent medical needs. The facility is located adjacent to several retail buildings within the Commons.

“We’re very excited to be working with Emerson Hospital on this project,” said senior project manager Jeff Stevenson. “Urgent care facilities are becoming an increasingly popular healthcare option for people, and the Emerson Urgent Care Center, with its close proximity to retail shops and 495, makes it especially convenient.”

“This new space will enable Emerson to provide convenient, accessible, high-quality care for common illnesses and minor injuries from board-certified physicians trained to work in an urgent care setting,” said Joseph Palomba, MD, medical director.

JM Coull is a construction management, design-build, and general contracting firm specializing in new construction and renovation projects in the healthcare, education, advanced technology, life sciences, commercial, and institutional markets. The firm has been providing solutions to its clients’ building needs since 1984, bringing a focus on quality, safety, and partnership to each project. JMC performs work throughout New England and is based in Maynard, Mass.
