JLL promotes Rader to regional education practice lead in tri-state

Stamford, CT JLL has promoted Peter Rader, vice president, as regional education practice lead for the firm’s project and development services group. In his expanded role, he will oversee and manage all project management assignments related to educational facilities for JLL throughout the tri-state region.

Rader has 25 years of experience in the design and construction industries. He is a licensed architect, and is highly skilled at overseeing all phases of the construction process, from feasibility and programming, through design, construction and project close out.

Prior to joining JLL in 2015, Rader worked with several architectural firms throughout Conn., and also operated his own practice. He has overseen a wide variety of project types including education, multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, retail and corporate interiors. Rader now focuses his efforts on providing project management services to academic institutions, from K-12 to higher education. He has managed the design, renovation and construction of more than 30 learning environments at schools throughout Connecticut, New York, and nationally.

Rader and his group recently completed a major project for Rye Country Day School, renovating the 25,200 s/f Dunn Performing Arts Center, as well as constructing the new 23,000 s/f Cohen Center for the Creative Arts. They also have completed a phased renovation of Stamford Charter School for Excellence’s 41,118 s/f, four-story building. Rader and colleagues are currently overseeing the renovation/expansion of Iona College’s new 63,000-square foot LaPenta School of Business, located in New Rochelle, NY.

“It is reassuring to know that their team of seasoned professionals is by our side every step of the way.  Their professionalism and technical experience have proven a huge benefit to our project,” said Richard Murray, director of facilities, with Iona College.
