Jiten Hotel Management and PROCON partner on Home2 Suites by Hilton

Home2 Suites by Hilton - Walpole, MA

Walpole, MA Construction work is underway on a new Home2 Suites by Hilton. Jiten Hotel Management (JHM) teamed up again with PROCON, who is the designer and construction manager for the 67,340 s/f hotel. Home2 Suites is making its debut in the Bay State and is Hilton’s first new brand launch in 30-years. The hotel is off Rte. 1, 18 miles southwest of Boston and less than a mile from Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium.

Preliminary site work began in January 2017 with the preparation of the soils followed by foundation placement that was completed in March. The exterior design is a combination of Hardi panels, Ground-Face CMU and Nichiha cement siding. Current work includes the installation of structural steel. The project is expected to be complete in late 2017.

Home2 Suites is a mid-scale, all-suite, extended-stay hotel designed for travelers seeking longer stay accommodations. The newest Hilton brand is known for its signature fusion of innovative, thoughtful design and contemporary comfort. Its distinctive features include a lighted glass rooftop beacon, an adjacent single-story swimming pool, a Spin2 Cycle laundry/fitness room combo and an expansive community space. The exterior will offer a barbeque pit patio area for guests to cook on the grill or relax together.

The 4-story, 118 king and double-queen guestrooms will all contain another of the brand’s unique features known as the “working wall,” a kitchenette-to-desk-to-closet component along the same wall. Also included in each room is a state-of-the-art kitchen with a sink, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, and a coffee maker.

Hotel guests will be welcomed by a trellis-covered entrance flanked by a seating area and fire pit. Inside, the first-floor design centers around the “Oasis” - a community gathering space that emerges from the front desk into a seating area.  A host of other complimentary amenities will be offered, such as a 24/7 sundries market, a 600 s/f meeting room, breakfast buffet area, and a 24/7 business center that will include complimentary WiFi. Parking will be available for 118 vehicles.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
