Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors contracted with Scamman Farm

Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors has contracted with Scamman Farm to construct a large equipment and hay storage barn. The one month project involves erecting a 7,000 s/f pre-engineered metal building complete with two pass doors and two sliding barn doors. Roofing will be 24 gauge PBR exposed fastener roof panels with three-inch vinyl-backed insulation to protect against condensation. A 26 gauge PBR exposed fastener metal wall system with interior, 26 gauge white liner panels will be used, featuring translucent panels on gables over the doors. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-September. Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors, a division of Raymond, NH-based Jewett Construction Co., Inc., is a member of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association, Steel Fabricators of New England, and the Steel Erectors Association of America. The firm provides professional, pre-engineered metal building sales, installation and consulting, erects structural steel, and provides welding and miscellaneous metals work to clients all over New England. Recent projects include a 20,000 s/f boat storage building for Mid-Maine Marine in Oakland, ME; a 17,500 s/f indoor riding arena for Pepperhill Farm in South Thomaston, ME; and a 5,000 s/f addition for Maine Oxy in South Portland, ME.
