Jewett Construction completes construction at Pease Development Authority

Jewett Construction Co., Inc. has completed construction at Pease Development Authority to improve walkways, including installing new pavement and bus shelters. Work included the demolition of an existing fuel storage building, relocation of an adjoining precast concrete structure, tree removal, and installation of an improved drainage system. After completion of the sub-surface site work, Jewett built a paved walkway with crosswalk sensor mats, installed new lighting and three semi-enclosed pedestrian shelters, and repaired adjoining walkways. The improvements create a safe walking area with a clean and unified appearance. Precautions were in place at all times during construction to ensure the safety of all foot traffic to and from the Pease Terminal. Service to the Terminal was not interrupted, at any time, by construction.
