Jewett Automotive Design & Construction completes new Al's Automotive & Truck Service Center
Jewett Automotive Design & Construction has completed construction of the new Al's Automotive & Truck Service Center in preparation for the company's relocation to 156 Epping Rd.
This extensive project involved the renovation of a 20,000 s/f former auto dealership to accommodate an automotive repair shop and towing company; and included the construction and fit-out of new offices, service bays, wash bay, and storage areas, as well as additional space for a future tenant.
Work included concrete foundations and slabs, new CMU masonry walls, exterior insulated finishing system (EIFS), new EPDM roof, overhead doors, aluminum storefront glass, and acoustic ceiling systems; as well as plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and all finishes. The new facility was designed by Bruce Ronayne Hamilton Architects of New Ipswich, NH and engineered by Summit Engineering of Portsmouth, NH. Jewett's project manager for the job was Steve Harris; project superintendent was Jeff Gower.
All structural steel and metals work was performed by Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors. Both JMB and Jewett Automotive Design & Construction are divisions of Jewett Construction Company, Inc., a design-build/construction management firm celebrating 40 years providing quality construction services to commercial and industrial clients throughout the Northeast.
