Jewett Automotive breaks ground on Al's Automotive renovation

Jewett Automotive Design & Construction, a division of Jewett Construction Company, Inc., has contracted with Al's Automotive Service Center for an extensive renovation of their facility. A groundbreaking was held July 26th. The project includes the demolition of interior offices and service bays to accommodate a new, upgraded floor plan consisting of new office space, service bays, wash bay, and storage areas, as well as additional tenant space. Work includes selective demolition, concrete foundations and slabs, new CMU masonry walls, Exterior Insulated Finishing System (EIFS), new EPDM roof, overhead doors, aluminum storefront glass, and acoustic ceiling systems; as well as plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and all finishes. Jewett's project manager for the job is Steve Harris; project superintendent is Jeff Gower. All structural steel and metals work is being performed by Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors (JMB). Both Jewett Automotive Design & Construction and JMB are divisions of Jewett Construction Company, Inc.—a design-build/construction management firm celebrating 40 years providing quality construction services to commercial and industrial clients throughout the Northeast. Other recent automotive clients include such well-known organizations as Emerson Toyota, Rte. 44 Hyundai, AutoServ Nissan, Olsen Cadillac, and repeat customers the Melkonian Group, Commonwealth Motors, Tulley BMW and the Grappone Automotive Group.
