J Derenzo Cos. named to Engineering News Record's Top 600 Specialty Contractors

J Derenzo Cos., a Boston-based site work and excavation firm, was listed among the top third of companies in ENR magazine's 2013 ranking of the nation's Top 600 Specialty Contractors. The company was also listed #11 in the Excavation & Foundation specialty category - the only Boston firm included on the list. In its first year of participation, J Derenzo Cos. was one of only a small handful of New England companies to crack the list. ENR's annual review of specialty contractors covers the mechanical; electrical; masonry; concrete; walls and ceilings; utilities; glazing; painting; roofing; demolition and wrecking; asbestos abatement; sheet metal and steel erection trades. A sign of the improving construction outlook, these contractors accounted for $81.3 billion in total revenue in 2012, up from $72 billion in 2011.
