IREM Boston Chapter's fall report

September is ethics awareness month for IREM. Ethical business practices are one of the core reasons for IREM's creation. As Certified Property Managers we strive for excellence by educating ourselves in with the best education offerings available for our industry. Along with education we swear an oath to uphold ethical business practices. We take this oath very seriously and we have a national ethics committee who reviews cases and holds hearings to enforce this important policy. Penalties are issued to members who are found to be in violation of code of ethics. Ethics are important to assure fair business dealings and to avoid conflicts of interest. In this way we operate with the best interest of our clients at the forefront of our management practice. On September 8 we held our 16th annual golf tournament and tennis charity event at the Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, Mass. We also had a golf clinic at the event. This was the first year we added tennis and we received positive feed from the players. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the following charities; Ellie Fund, Team Intestinal Fortitude, Gloria Gemma Breast Foundation and South Shore Mental Health. Our industry partner, Creative Resources Group (CRG) was on hand filming our golfers in action. The film was quickly edited and screened during the dinner reception. CRG provides the highest quality video production for the web and for television commercials, as well as web design and development, social media, graphic design, media planning and purchase, and corporate event production and developing and managing strategic advertising programs. We want to send out a special thank you to all of our sponsors for this event. A special thank you goes out to Marcus, Errico, Emmer, & Brooks PC (MEEB) who was the tournament sponsor for the 16th year in a row. MEEB was established in 1993 specializing in condominium law.
