IREM attends 21st Century property managers training - April 4

Wallingford, CT Connecticut chapter members and real estate professionals  of IREM spent half a day in training at the “21st Century Property Managers Training.” This training covered the do’s and dont’s for property managers. It was held at Belfor Property Restoration Office on April 4.

Attorney Frank Flynn of The Flynn Law Group spoke about how times are changing, and how the issues at your property are changing too! Being a property manager is already a difficult job, now add in all problems the 21st Century has created, and it’s impossible to keep up!

He spoke to the managers and asked the following questions:

• Are tenants allowed to list their apartment on Airbnb?

• Is medical marijuana legal, or illegal?

• What is the appropriate way to handle a problem on Social Media?

Flynn spoke about how the heroin epidemic may affect your property.

He also mentioned how tenants are still smoking inside, and how can managers implement a No Smoking policy.

He spoke to the members and conveyed how anyone can make a meth lab these days, so how are you supposed to protect your residents?

Flynn and his associates reviewed  the issues that the 21st Century has imposed at your property.

He spoke to the managers and reviewed real life situations that have arisen for their clients, He discussed how to address the ever-changing landscape of property management.

The key purpose of this seminar was to have an open dialogue about what is happening at your property and how the law can help you!
