Integrated Builders begins work on $1.2 million project for L-3 SSG

Integrated Builders, a firm specializing in general contracting and construction management services, has begun a 30,500 s/f tenant fit-up for L-3 SSG at 46 Jonspin Rd., with a total project cost of $1.2 million. Notably, this marks the fourth project that Integrated Builders has undertaken on behalf of L-3 in the past five years. Integrated Builders project manager Bob Purdy, project superintendent Mike Croteau, and assistant project manager Barbara Frazier, will work closely with architects Visnick & Caulfield Associates, Inc. and engineers WB Engineers+Consultants, to ensure an efficient delivery of the new space. "46 Jonspin Road is an exciting project as it presents the opportunity to work with an industry-leading firm like L-3 SSG and a hands-on ownership group," said Jay Dacey, president of Integrated Builders. "We are confident that we will provide a timely delivery for the new space, which will present a more efficient and effective layout to better suit their needs and business goals." The tenant fit-up at 46 Jonspin Rd. will include the addition of a new break room and warehouse space, as well as enhancements to the offices, common areas, and research and development departments. Additionally, light demolition will be required, along with the installation of new drywall, lighting fixtures, floors, ceilings, doors, HVAC systems, sprinklers, and fire alarms. The new space will also require new Roof Top Units (RTUs) and American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant bathrooms. 46 Jonspin Rd. is located one and a quarter miles from I-93 at Exit 43 and sits in the heart of the northern suburbs just 20 minutes from Boston and Cambridge. Tenants of the facility have access to a variety of local amenities including multiple health clubs, major shops, diverse restaurants, and the Tewksbury Country Club. L-3 SSG provides world-class space sensor systems, space telescopes, airborne sensor systems, hyperspectral systems, and LOS pointing and fast steering mirrors. With over 30 years of experience on 50 flight programs, the company has more than 65,000 s/f of manufacturing, laboratory, and office space.
