Howard Stein Hudson honored by ACEC/MA

East Boston, MA The American Council of Engineering Companies of Mass. (ACEC/MA) has named Howard Stein Hudson as a winner of a 2018 Bronze Engineering Excellence Awards for work on the Central Sq. complete streets reconstruction project.

Howard Stein Hudson was retained by the City of Boston to work with the Boston Transportation Department, Parks and Recreation Department, Public Works Department and the Boston Water and Sewer Commission on the design of roadway, drainage and streetscape improvements in Central Square. The East Boston Complete Streets project creates a safer environment for cyclists; shortens pedestrian crossings; expands the park; widens sidewalks; includes green stormwater infrastructure elements; and provides safe back-in angle parking.

The 2018 Engineering Excellence Awards were announced at the recent ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala with emcees Beth Larkin, PE, MBTA assistant general manager for Capital Delivery and Sam Sleiman, PE, CCM, MassPort director of Capital Programs & Environmental Affairs.
