Howard Katz, The Katz Cos.

Howard Katz, age 61, died on January 3rd in St. Vincent Hospital. He graduated Worcester Academy and Clark University and he attended American University Law School in Washington, D.C. He was a licensed real estate broker in both Mass. and Conn. and he was a licensed construction supervisor in Mass. His main interest was in real estate, both in this country as well as abroad. He was extremely knowledgeable and he was highly creative. He was the president and CEO of The Katz Companies which he and his brother Myron Katz had started many years ago. He traveled extensively to Europe in connection with his real estate and as president and CEO of High Wire Pictures Corp. and was a producer with Michael Mailler and others of the recently released The Golden Boys, starring David Carridine, Rip Torn, Bruce Dern and Mariel Hemingway which was released in Europe and in this country this past summer. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a Past Master of Level Lodge of Masons. He was a member of The Worcester Club, The Worcester Chamber of Commerce, and The Bohemians.
