Hines and The Bozzuto Group's Currents on the Charles hold Grand Opening

Currents on the Charles, a 200-unit riverside luxury apartment community located at 36 River St., held its Grand Opening Celebration, featuring a Summer Solstice theme, on June 11, to recognize the development's opening and ongoing success. Of the many people in attendance, guests included David Perry, senior managing director, Jim Dunlop, managing director, Sean Sacks, director, all of Hines, local dignitaries, current residents, and prospective tenants. In addition to members of the Hines development team, representatives of The Bozzuto Group, the property's management firm, were in attendance to welcome guests and show their support of the successful project, along with representatives of Cube 3 Architects and the project's general contractor, Callahan, Inc. Currents on the Charles has been experiencing strong activity since opening in January of 2015, with over 65% of the community currently leased. At Currents on the Charles, renters can choose from a variety of floor plan options with studio, one, two, and three bedroom apartments available. Additionally, the community amenities include a 10,000 s/f River Club, resort-style swimming pool, media lounge with Apple TV and wet bar, and outdoor kitchen with grilling stations. Pet owners will enjoy the pet-friendly atmosphere featuring an on-site Bark 'n' Bubbles washing and grooming room. "After a cold and snowy Winter, we are excited to come together to celebrate the warmer weather and success of Currents on the Charles," said Perry. "We are thrilled to be a part of the Waltham community and are proud to offer high-quality apartment homes and unique amenities in this desirable market. With a great group of residents and an energetic management team, the future of Currents on the Charles is bright. We look forward to continuing our strong leasing activity throughout the Summer months." Conveniently situated alongside the Charles River, Currents on the Charles offers direct access to the Reservation's walking and biking paths, as well as dramatic views overlooking the waterway, Riverfront Park, and downtown Boston. Waltham's vibrant Moody Street, Stop & Shop, Russo's Market, major highways, and public transportation are also just minutes away, making the area a top living destination for young professionals, families, and empty nesters.
