GVA Williams signs Rochester Big & Tall to 4,296 s/f in Westport

GVA Williams of Connecticut signed a 4,296 s/f sublease for Rochester Big & Tall at 1501 Post Rd. East. The store will open this month. Blockbuster Video had occupied the entire 8,000 s/f free standing building at the corner of Post Rd. and Maple Ave. Blockbuster has downsized to approximately 4,000 s/f and construction is currently underway for Rochester Big & Tall to occupy the end-cap facing the traffic signal. The team of Dierdre Corcoran Foote, senior vice president, and Scott Lifschultz, executive vice president, were the sole brokers in the transaction, representing Northeast Video, the Blockbuster Video franchisee of Fairfield County. Lifschultz said, "We are pleased to have secured Rochester, one of the leading national men's apparel retailers catering to the big and tall. With metro New York stores in Paramus, N.J., Manhasset, N.Y. and Manhattan, Westport was an ideal progression for Rochester in Fairfield County." From its original San Francisco location, Rochester Big & Tall has grown to over 20 worldwide locations and has recently launched a catalog/ecommerce division.
