Group One Partners, Inc. hires Zelek as assistant project manager

Rafal Zelek, LEED AP has been hired as an assistant project manager at Group One Partners, Inc. Zelek's job responsibilities include supervising project staff, preparing design development and construction documents, ensuring code compliance and adherence to building requirements, assisting with project design, and creating final architectural solutions. "Rafal's credentials and experience make him an essential part of our architecture team," said Harry Wheeler, principal of Group One. Currently, Zelek is working on the expansion of the Hotel Commonwealth in the city's Back Bay and guest room renovations and additions to the Hilton on Broad St. in Downtown/Faneuil Hall. Before joining Group One, Zelek worked at Design Partnership of Cambridge. He earned his bachelor's degree in architecture from Boston Architectural College. Zelek is a resident of Malden. Group One is an award-winning design firm based in Boston that specializes in architectural, interior design, and purchasing services for hospitality properties. Using a collaborative project approach that involves these three interrelated disciplines, the firm's streamlined design process upholds its dedication to excellence and client service. Since the company's inception in 1970, Group One has designed and supervised nearly 3,000 projects across the globe including hospitality, residential, and multi-family properties, assisted living and elder care facilities, and retail spaces.
