Group One Partners honored for Design Excellence by Marriott Hotel

Boston, MA Group One Partners, Inc. was honored with the “Design Excellence” award at the 2017 Marriott CONNECT conference in Los Angeles. The award recognizes the firm’s commitment to their partnership with the hotel brand and for providing excellent hospitality design by its architectural and interior design teams. On hand to accept the award were Harry Wheeler, Mary Faria, Carrie Nielsen and Jim Ryan.

“Myself, Mary, and Kevin could not be prouder of our team and this recognition,” said Wheeler AIA, NCARB, LEED, principal of Group One Partners. “We are proud of our strong relationship with Marriott and look forward to continued design collaborations. Our team of architects and designers are always looking at design trends and pairing them with our distinct understanding of how hotels actually operate and what guests want.”

 Working with Marriott for over 40 years, Group One Ptrs. has been involved in many Marriott construction and renovation projects. Currently the firm is design architect, interior designer, and purchasing agent for the first Moxy Hotel in Boston. Located in Boston’s Theater District, this 24 story micro hotel employs a playful and spirted design, providing guests a distinctive ‘backstage tour’ vibe and VIP feel. The hotel is currently scheduled to open in late 2018.
