Salem, MA Groom Construction’s office and retail space at 331 Lafayette St., is underway and is expected to be ready for occupancy late October 2017.

Groom broke ground on the 24,000 s/f mixed-use building this past December 2016. The project was redesigned due to community requests following the initial meeting in August developer, Robert Burr and Peter Pitman, architect.

The updates to the development include a redesign to maintain the historical setting with brick and clapboard siding. Burr also plans to alleviate traffic congestion by improving access on West Ave. with a right-hand turn lane.
