Goodfellow Real Estate leases 4,200 s/f in New Milford

According to Todd Payne, SIOR president of Goodfellow Real Estate, the firm has leased a 4,200 s/f restaurant space to American Kitchen at 132 Danbury Rd. The tenant is Michael Hayek of Mhayek LLC and landlord is Nemco Limited Partnership. Goodfellow Real Estate's Garett Palmer represented both parties in the transaction. The property, part of a plaza that includes Royal Buffet and Arbys, will house the American Kitchen, a steakhouse and bar specializing in freshly grown and raised American cuisine. The plaza is situated at a lighted intersection of Danbury Rd. that also includes The Staples Plaza and Burger King. Hayek, who Palmer also represented in his acquisition of Danbury's Square One Bar & Grill on Mill Plain Rd., has considerable experience in the restaurant industry and is excited to bring something new to New Milford. Said Hayek, "For this location we decided to branch out a little from the concept of Mill Plain Rd. We figured a more family friendly restaurant would better serve the market in New Milford and the surrounding area."
