Ginsburg Development Companies completes $2 million in upgrades

Bridgeport, CT Ginsburg Development Companies (GDC) has unveiled a new lobby and new building amenities for its City Trust Tower Apartments located at 955 Main St.

In addition to the new art deco-inspired lobby unveiled, the 12-story 117-unit rental apartment building, located across from McLevy Green, will soon see the addition of a club lounge, fitness center and game room.

GDC founder and principal Martin Ginsburg was joined by Bridgeport mayor Joseph Ganim on August 22 for the announcement of the more than $2 million in upgrades to the rental property.

“City Trust’s new lobby evokes the art deco architecture of this landmark building and also features a new deco-inspired sculpture by artist Eric David Laxman.  This beautiful new lobby, together with significant new building amenities will help position City Trust as a leading residential destination in an area that is undergoing a significant transformation.  Downtown Bridgeport is upgrading and so are we,” said Ginsburg.

Mayor Joseph Ganim said, “The GDC developers are investing in Bridgeport and creating beautiful living spaces that will attract people from all walks of life, young, old, commuters and local professionals. Ginsburg Development Companies has successfully designed the City Trust Tower Apartments in a way that offers modern amenities for residents while maintaining its historical roots as one of the anchors for downtown and McLevy Green. We appreciate their commitment to our city, the residents, and we look forward to the continued growth.”

The building includes first floor retail with existing tenants Four Corner Billiards and Citibank, as well as space being marketed for a future restaurant.
