George J. Smith & Son sells 1.5 acres on Rte. 44

Putnam, CT According to DeForest Smith, CCIM, SIOR president of George J. Smith & Son Commercial and Investment Real Estate, his firm has sold 1.5 acres on Rte. 44.

This land is part of a $2 million development with Burger King as the major tenant.

The seller was Connecticut Investments, LLC. The buyer was Plaza Street Partners.

DeForest Smith is the third-generation owner of his famliy’s real estate firm, which was established in 1886 and has been servicing the real estate needs of Connecticut for 134 years.

Smith joined the firm after graduating from Yale University with a degree in International Economics.
