Garland Building and Embarc Studio complete Ver-Tex Shade|Light's new experience Center

Ver-Tex Shade|Light Solutions, a division of Ver-Tex Construction Specialties, Inc., opened its new Experience Center at 263 Summer St. in the Fort Point neighborhood. The Ver-Tex Shade|Light Solutions Experience Center features one of the area's largest selections of integrated shading and lighting control solutions combined with educational offerings and on-site technical and design expertise. To mark its 30th year as one of New England's leading providers of construction specialties solutions, Ver-Tex launched the Ver-Tex Shade|Light Solutions Experience Center to expand its showcase of the latest innovations in total light management solutions, helping architects and designers create efficient, productive, and inspiring spaces. The Ver-Tex Shade|Light Solutions Experience Center was designed by Embarc Studio and built by Garland Building Company. Designed primarily as a resource for Boston's design community, the Experience Center features a variety of daylight harvesting, motorized shades, and shading and lighting control systems from industry-leading manufacturers, displayed in an operational office and classroom environment. The Experience Center supports the staff in facilitating product and solution demonstrations, displaying fabric and shade samples, and promoting project-specific discussions. The space also functions as a hosting venue for Ver-Tex sponsored continuing education unit (CEU) professional classes and other industry events. In addition, the Experience Center incorporates a Hunter Douglas Showcase Café for designer/client meetings and impromptu gatherings to explore the latest in Hunter Douglas shading solutions. The Experience Center's offerings are enhanced by Ver-Tex's 30-year tradition of professional service and success serving New England's leading organizations. "Recent innovations in total light management technologies have made it possible to automatically and seamlessly control the look, feel, and efficiency of a space. These convenient, integrated solutions save energy, enhance productivity, and provide convenient operational control - all while preserving the designer's vision," said Matthew Goodwin, president of Ver-Tex Construction. "The new Ver-Tex Shade|Light Solutions Experience Center is an accessible, educational, and specifying resource for Boston's design community, allowing designers and their clients to "experience" the most up-to-date and varied options with automated shading operations, lighting controls and integration. We look forward to collaborating with the design community on their valued projects." The Ver-Tex Shade|Light Solutions Experience Center at 263 Summer St. is open from Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM, and Saturday 9AM to 1PM.
