Fremder of Corwin and Corwin, LLP receives Lifetime Achievment Award

Edwin Fremder, Esq. was presented with the Joseph Corwin Lifetime Achievement Award at ASM's biennial dinner gala held April 5 at the Museum of Fine Arts. Fremder joined the law firm of Corwin and Corwin, LLP in 1977 and served as counsel to the association for more than half of that time. He played an instrumental role in the passage of the 2010 Prompt Pay law and over the years testified at hundreds of legislative hearings, and worked with ASM to formulate the organization's legislative strategy. In the process he helped ASM earn a reputation for reliability and credibility among legislators, contractors and ASM members alike. The Corwin Lifetime Achievement Award was created in honor of Joseph Corwin, its first recipient, who has often been called the father of construction law in Massachusetts. Awarded only six times in 16 years, it is presented to individuals who have shown leadership and dedication to the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts and the subcontracting industry.
