Jeremy Freid, SIOR of Boston Realty Advisors was recently invited by Equity Office to compete at the Frozen Fenway Park hockey tournament. Equity created and invited teams comprised of commercial real estate brokerage firms. The four teams included CBRE, JLL, Cushman & Wakefield and the Mixed Brokerage team. Freid played on the mixed brokerage team wearing number 7. His team first played Cushman & Wakefield and won. In the other game, JLL beat CBRE. Freid's team then played JLL in a heated game that came down to the last minute. The goalie was pulled with 30 seconds left in the game and Freid's team scored the tying goal sending the game into overtime. Freid scored in the overtime to win the sudden death overtime game and the tournament.
Freid mentioned that it was an incredible event and the players were given access to the Red Sox clubhouse to change. The experience was once in a life time.
Freid had played professional hockey in Europe. He played in the Professional Elite League in Holland in 1999 and played with three teams including the Nijmegen Tigers. Each team won the cup in the Dutch League; the Pre-Season Cup, the Mid-Season Cup and the Championship Cup. Freid scored the game winning goal in the final pre-season game for the cup. He is also the first player to win all three cups in the same season.
