Florence Electric, LLC named as the #1 Midsize Company to work for in Mass.

Florence Electric, LLC was named by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) as the #1 Midsize Company to work for in Mass. Twenty mid-size companies earned recognition from the top A/E/C Associations in New England for the Best Places to Work in Mass. and among those, Florence Electric placed first. Liz Mullaney, director of finance was present at the Citi Performing Arts Center Gala on June 12 to represent the Florence team. This honor recognizes the Kaydon Group's achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains people through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture. Florence is the first electrical contractor to be named with this distinction since the inception of the BBJ award 12 years ago. Eli Florence, president of the company told his team, " We are not only a leader in our industry by being the first electrical contractor to win this award, but this goes further to demonstrate that we are leaders in the Boston Business community by ranking number one. We got here through building strong relationships with customers and the hard work of management, field crews, technicians and all our employees. This is our culture and we can be proud of this work ethic in our success to be first in our industry." Mullane said, "It was an honor to be among the best of the best, but when they counted down to #1, and it was only Florence Electric left in the mid-size companies, it was genuinely inspirational! It was a memorable experience and one that we will entrust into our culture." BBJ executive editor George Donnelly said, "Over 300 companies went through the process of competing to be a Best Place to Work. Mind you, these were all companies that felt good enough about their company culture to enter our program. So, from this self-selected group of proud companies, you are the ones who made the cut.
