Fitzgerald joins BOND as director of business development

Boston, MA According to BOND, one of the Northeast’s premier building, civil, utility and energy construction firms, Caroline Fitzgerald, PE, has joined the firm as director of business development. In this role, she is responsible for developing new business and managing client relations for BOND’s education market sector led by Ken Johnson, vice president, education and David Shrestinian, senior vice president, building division.

Prior to joining BOND, Fitzgerald was director of business development at VJ Associates, and previously at LD Architects. She joined the NY office of Arup when it first opened, and launched and managed its Boston location as principal, working on many prestigious and award-winning projects.

“Caroline brings a unique perspective in her approach to developing client relationships and fostering new business partners. As a licensed structural engineer, she also brings a technical understanding of the construction industry and in particular, a depth of experience in complex building projects. I am looking forward to collaborating with her on new ventures,” said Robert Murray, president, BOND.

Fitzgerald received a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering, magna cum laude, from Tufts University. Currently, she is co-chair of the Boston Society of Architects’ Women Principals Group. She also serves on the Town of Lexington’s Design Advisory Committee and holds several memberships with Greater Boston industry associations.

Since 1907, BOND has managed some of New England’s most complex construction projects. BOND operates as a construction manager for academic and healthcare clients and a self-performing general contractor for the power and energy industry. BOND is well-known for delivering reliable, safe, and high quality work. The Building Division has recently completed high-profile projects such as Harvard Business School’s Tata Hall, Boston University’s Center for Student Services, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham’s Cancer Center, and MIT’s famed Media Lab. The Civil & Utility Division has successfully completed the Hoosac Wind Project for Iberdrola Renewables, the West Roxbury-Newton Cooling Line for Northeast Utilities, and the Needham Regulator Station for Spectra Energy.
