FireFlower and Village Solar to install 191 kW and 83 kW of solar development

Norwell, MA FireFlower Alternative Energy, has partnered with Village Solar LLC to install a 191 kW and an 83 kW rooftop solar array at Audi Norwell and Porsche Norwell, respectively. Michelle Ciccolo, president and CEO of Village Solar, was eager to install the solar arrays and start producing clean, local, and renewable energy. The financial compensation from state incentive programs, and the reduction in their ecological footprint, made going solar a no-brainer for Village Solar. 

The solar arrays will cover approximately 36,464 s/f of rooftop and have a total capacity of 274 kilowatts. The project will create 339,986 kilowatt hours of electricity annually and save upwards of $50,000 annually on their electricity bills.

Village Solar selected FireFlower Alternative Energy to assist in the development of their rooftop solar projects. Kathleen Doyle, CEO and founder of FireFlower Alternative Energy, has extensive expertise in solar photovoltaics, combined with over 20 years’ experience in commercial real estate.

The solar arrays will be net metered and interconnected to the grid, generating clean power, with an estimated annual market value of over $52,672. This project will benefit from the SREC II program, which allows users to sell energy credits on an open market.
