Fallon selected by REFA to receive Robert S. Swain Jr. Award

Joseph Fallon, founder, president, and CEO of the Fallon Company, has been selected by the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) to receive its annual Robert S. Swain Jr, Distinguished Service Award at the 24th Annual REFA Gala, to be held October 11th at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. Fallon will be honored for his contributions to the real estate industry and to the Greater Boston community. Since he founded the Fallon Company in 1993, Fallon has developed billions of dollars in commercial real estate through numerous projects in Boston, including the Fan Pier, the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel, the Park Lane Seaport, One Marina Park Drive, Fifty Northern Avenue, and Eleven Fan Pier Boulevard. In addition to his contributions to the real estate industry in the Greater Boston area, Fallon's company also contributes to the overall community by supporting numerous non-profit organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, The Boston Harbor Alliance, and Save the Harbor / Save the Bay. The month of July features REFA's Fundamentals program on the 11th. The program will focus on senior housing, which is one of the most rapidly growing segments of the real estate investment market. REFA's Emerging Leaders program continues to be strong with monthly programs and community initiatives. On July 18th, the Emerging Leaders will volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank to assist in the fight against hunger. At the end of July, REFA will hold their 9th Annual Charitable Golf Outing, to be held Monday, July 23rd, at the Blue Hills Country Club in Canton, Mass. This sold-out event benefits the Homestart and Project Hope charities. REFA's Annual Summer Reception will be held on Wednesday, August 1st, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Goulston & Storrs. It will include an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and networking in front of one of Boston's most spectacular views, the Boston Harbor.
