Erland Construction continues work on Newton Country Day School - designed by D’Agostino Izzo Quirk

Newton, MA Construction of the new Wellness Center at Newton Country Day School is moving right along. Erland Construction, construction manager for this project, has worked on this independent school campus in the past on projects that include the award-winning Library addition to the main school building. Compass Project Management is the owner’s representative.

The 46,816 s/f Wellness Center, designed by D’Agostino Izzo Quirk of Somerville, is a free-standing, four-story structure built into a sloping hillside. In addition to a full gymnasium, this athletic center features squash courts, a dance studio, fitness rooms, locker rooms and classrooms. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2016.

Erland project manager Elizabeth Martin said, “We are pleased to be enhancing the beautiful campus at Newton Country Day with a facility that supports health, well-being and team spirit among the girls at this secondary school. The Wellness Center will contribute to a well-rounded education for generations of NCDS students.”
