Erland awarded renovation of 125,000 s/f former Tyco building

Erland Construction, Inc. has been awarded a renovation and consolidation project for Cobham plc at 1001 Pawtucket Blvd. Erland is familiar with the building - having performed several renovation projects for the previous tenant, Tyco Electronics. Teaming with architecture firm, Design Science, Erland will complete this project in November. The property was previously a single-tenant building - occupied solely by Tyco. Tyco has since changed ownership and sold off pieces of its business, so the building must now be divided into a multi-tenant space. For Cobham, Erland will renovate 125,000 s/f of space. This work will consist of consolidating a machine shop, an antenna range, and labs; decommissioning certain areas into office space; performing light manufacturing and egress build out; building a new R&D lab; data center work; and new office space. All work will be done while the building is occupied.
