Elcock, Sower, Goodhue and Brawley of Colliers International broker $3.2 million sale

Bourne, MA Colliers International completed the $3.2 million sale of 586 Shore Rd. Previously owned by the Dexter Southfield School of Brookline, Mass., this 11-acre parcel was sold to a private buyer for use as a family compound. The Colliers team was led by James Elcock and included Christopher Sower, David Goodhue, and Kevin Brawley.

Located in the Monument Beach neighborhood, the site was historically home to the Briarwood Conference Center & Marine Science complex and comprises of 6 structures, including the Conference Center, which was built in 1900. 586 Shore Rd. has previously been used as a private estate as well as a conference center and camp for the Episcopal Diocese.

Located less than 4 miles from the Bourne Bridge, 586 Shore Rd. provides proximity to Toby’s Island, Phinneys Harbor, various golf courses, and the Shore Road Ballfield & Conservation Area. Bourne is known as the ‘first’ town on the Cape and is home to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Otis Air National Guard Base.
