Edgar of Sea Watch Realty sells Bourne Town Plaza for $1.8 million
Sea Watch Realty, Inc. sold the 27,940 s/f two story retail/office building located at 41 Meetinghouse Lane. The property, known as Bourne Town Plaza, was sold to Forty One Meetinghouse Lane, LLC for $1.8 million. Ben Edgar of Sea Watch Realty listed the property for sale and brokered the transaction between the seller, Sandler Realty Corporation, and the buyer.
The property was first marketed for sale at the end of November 2007 and closed in four months. The anchor tenant of the plaza, Town Paint is going out of business due to the owners retiring. The new owner is looking to replace that community asset with a similar business.
The retail and office property was built in 1985 on two acres of land and is next to the post office just off the new flyover at the Sagamore Bridge, at the Gateway to Cape Cod. There is about 11,000 s/f of retail space that will be available this June and second floor office suites available from 1,300 - 3,000 s/f.
The new owner has already begun renovations to upgrade the facade, signage and both the retail and office spaces. The plaza will be renamed to reflect its place in Sagamore Beach.
Sea Watch Realty has offices located in Plymouth, Marion, Falmouth, Hyannis, and South Easton.
