EBC RI Chapter Breakfast Meeting

At this annual EBC meeting, CRMC, executive director Grover Fugate will discuss the overall plans and priorities he has set for the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council. He will also provide an update on the Special Area Management Plan (SAMP) for offshore renewables.

The Commonwealth Wind Program was launched in June to assist responsibly sited wind energy projects of all scales in achieving successful and timely installations, while also supporting Governor Patrick's goal of having 2,000 megawatts (MW) of wind power capacity installed in the Commonwealth by 2020. Commonwealth Wind streamlines MRET's funding programs for wind energy projects. Tyler Leeds, Commonwealth Wind Program manager, will provide an overview of the programs and results of the initial solicitations.
