Dyer Brown is officially certified LGBT Business Enterprise

Boston, MA Approaching its 50th year in practice, the national architecture and interior design firm Dyer Brown is officially certified LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) by the business voice of the LGBT community and nation’s exclusive certifying body for LGBT-owned and operated businesses.

Certified as of this year through the Washington, D.C.-based National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) through its Supplier Diversity Initiative, the firm Dyer Brown leads in its professional fields in a business environment that increasingly values diversity and seeks out certified LGBTBE (Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Trans Business Enterprise) service providers. According to Dyer Brown’s leader, Brent Zeigler, AIA, IIDA, president and principal of Dyer Brown, the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce serves as the business voice of the LGBT community and acts as the nation’s exclusive certifying body for LGBT-owned and operated businesses.

“Dyer Brown has been known for service and innovation and recognized nationally for our award-winning design portfolio as well as leadership in corporate services, building owner support, and work with institutional and nonprofit organizations,” said Zeigler. “Along with being listed among the top LGBT-owned businesses in Boston encompassing our national presence in Atlanta and other markets, this official designation further reinforces Dyer Brown’s commitment to working with clients who increasingly tap into diverse service providers like us.”

In addition to architecture and interior design projects as well as a national profile in workplace strategy that has grown during the pandemic, Dyer Brown Architects offers a fully integrated suite of professional services including high-level building owner and corporate advisory as well as 3D concept visualization. 

The firm’s clients range from property owners and developers to end-users such as global corporations and leading regional brands in varied market sectors including workplace, retail, hospitality and higher education.

With this designation, according to Nelson, Dyer Brown is now eligible to participate in the NGLCC’s supplier diversity programs with Fortune 500 companies and government agencies nationwide. Dyer Brown can also take advantage of a broad array educational opportunities promoted by the NGLCC, and the firm can work to foster business-to-business relationships with other Certified LGBTBE companies.
Dyer Brown’s latest announcement signals the firm’s continued robust growth and expansion in both project types and scales. The move also speaks to Dyer Brown’s expansion in new national markets, including higher education and hospitality, which demand vision and experience.
