Diversified Project Management oversees design and construction of Conn. Children's Medical Center

Diversified Project Management (DPM), an owner's representative construction consulting firm, has completed Connecticut Children's Medical Center's new state of the art 14,000 s/f pediatric specialty center at 310 Western Blvd. Diversified provided project management and FF&E coordination services on behalf of CCMC in overseeing the build-out of the new facility. "We are honored that CCMC continues to ask us to lead their design and construction projects," said Mark DuPre, project executive of Diversified Project Management. "The new Glastonbury Specialty Center presented many challenges with regards to programming the right services for the community as well as finding the right location, owner and builder. We're happy to be part of CCMC's expansion plans and helping them meet their goal of bringing pediatric programs closer to the children they service." DuPre added, "DPM project managers Gary Brallier and Ryan Crafa where instrumental in seeing this project through, consistently going above and beyond to help CCMC open ahead of the original schedule." A wide array of pediatric medical and specialty services will be available at this new pediatric specialty center, including: audiology; cardiology; dermatology; endocrinology; oncology; neurology; occupational and physical therapy; orthopedics; speech-language pathology and several others. CCMC plans to open its second Specialty Center in November of this year in Farmington. This center will house the Center for Motion Analysis, sports medicine, orthopedics, radiology, physical therapy and occupational therapy. DPM is handling all aspects of the design, construction, and relocation for this project as well.

Investing in a falling rate environment - by Harrison Klein

Long-term interest rates have fallen by 100 basis points, and the market is normalizing. In December of 2022 I wrote an article about investing in a high interest rate, high inflation market. Since then, inflation has cooled off, and the Fed has begun lowering their funds rate.
