Fall River, MA DiPrete Engineering has teamed with RKB Architects, Avid Engineers, Boston Industrial Consulting, John Turner Consulting, and Reflex Lighting to design a new 56,300 s/f freestanding building for Millstone Medical Outsourcing, LLC’s headquarters at Commerce Park. Construction Management & Builders, Inc. has been selected to construct the facility.

Millstone Medical’s new building will be located on the last vacant parcel of Commerce Park, adjacent to the existing facility. The vision for the site is to create a campus feel by designing vehicular and pedestrian access between the existing headquarters and the new building. The site plan features a 48,000 s/f building footprint with an 8,300 s/f mezzanine, five loading docks, 99 parking spaces, motorcycle parking, bicycle racks, vehicle charging stations, landscaping, and an outdoor patio area for employees.

DiPrete Engineering’s scope of work included ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, land planning, site/civil engineering including stormwater management and utility design, and obtaining approvals through the Fall River Redevelopment Authority and Site Plan Review committee.

“Millstone’s new building will be a great addition to the Commerce Industrial Park,” said Sheryl Guglielmo, project manager at DiPrete Engineering. “It has been a great experience working with the Millstone team and the Fall River planning, engineering, and utility staff. We’re really looking forward to seeing the final product.”

Millstone Medical has been in business since 2004 and provides the medical device industry with post-manufacturing services including: validation and engineering services, advanced mechanical inspection, ultrasonic cleaning and passivation, clean room packaging, non-sterile packaging and comprehensive warehousing.
