Davis of Trevor Davis Commercial Real Estate brokers two sales totaling $875,000

Middletown, CT Trevor Davis, CCIM of Trevor Davis Commercial Real Estate LLC has completed two sales totaling $875,000.

Davis completed the sale of  413 Main St. This 12,000 s/f retail building was owned by Sankus, LLC and sold for $650,000 to 413 Main Street Middletown, LLC. Davis was the only broker in the sale. 413 Main Street Middletown, LLC is an entity owned primarily by Michael Stone, who has transformed other downtown properties such as Main Street Market. According to information on their website, Wesleyan University has signed a lease with the owner for their new bookstore, which will be operated by R.J. Julia Booksellers, the nationally known independent bookstore in Madison.

The move from Broad St. to Main St. will also benefit the other stores and businesses downtown. Larry McHugh, president of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce said, “We are really happy about the move of the Wesleyan bookstore to Main St. R.J. Julia is a premier bookstore, which also adds to this excitement. This partnership will create another destination to our bustling Main Street and a big thanks goes to president Michael Roth and his team.”

“We’re committed to strengthening the ties between campus and Main Street,” said Wesleyan President Michael Roth. “Relocating Wesleyan’s bookstore is a major step in the direction, and I am so delighted that R.J. Julia Booksellers, with their phenomenal reputation, will be our partner in this effort.”

“The new Wesleyan bookstore will be a transformative development for downtown Middletown and for the city as a whole, said Dan Drew, mayor of Middletown. “We are thrilled to be working on this project with the university, which is contributing so much to the vitality of our community, and we look forward to the success of this project.”

The Wesleyan Bookstore will also feature a café run by Grown, an organic concept based in Miami, owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Shannon Allen (a Middletown native) and NBA champion Ray Allen (a University of Connecticut Husky and Olympic gold medalist).

Davis also completed the sale of 13 North Main St. to 13 North Main, LLC for $225,000. The seller was Stove Prairie Properties, LLC. Agent Dan Mason assisted with the transaction.
