Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. celebrates 30 years

Woburn, MA Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. has reached a significant milestone of 30 years in business. Founded in 1993 by architect John Donahoe, AIA and now led by president, Eric Wright, Dakota has established itself as a trusted boutique architect’s staffing agency serving the Boston/New England A/E/C marketplace.

The journey of Dakota is a testament to dedication, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in the field. Starting as Dakota CAD Services and evolving into Dakota DesignStaff, the company has consistently provided services to its clients and candidates alike.

Wright’s journey from being a candidate placed by Dakota to eventually owning and managing the company is a remarkable story of passion and dedication to the industry.

With his experience in architecture and a deep understanding of the needs of both clients and candidates, Eric has continued the company’s legacy of personalized service and professionalism.

Dakota’s unique offering of pre-qualifying and screening applicants by a former practicing architectural professional sets it apart from other staffing agencies. This personalized approach not only benefits the clients but also helps applicants in presenting themselves effectively, thus assisting them in achieving their professional goals.

“The first 30 years has given us a solid foundation of great relationships in the AEC industry and my vision for the future is to continue building on that foundation with expansion in other industries and markets,” Wright said when asked about the next chapter of Dakota.

As Dakota celebrates its 30th anniversary, Wright and his team of recruiters stand poised to embrace new opportunities and expand into new industries and markets while maintaining their core mission of matching design talent with opportunity. This vision reflects Dakota’s commitment to growth and innovation in the years to come.
